As Covid-19 restrictions ease the Festival State is coming alive once again with wonderful and varied events around Adelaide and South Australia. One that stands out is Illuminate Adelaide that returns in July with a great program that has just been released here https://www.illuminateadelaide.com/program/

The Light Cycles in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens is a family favourite. It promises an after-dark immersive experience connecting guests to the natural world like never before. As the name suggests it offers cutting edge use of light, lasers and projections together with a moving original soundtrack to surround people as they walk through the gardens and take them on a journey of light, life, sound and movement.

It provides some awesome photo opportunities as well, and you only need an apple I Phone or Samsung galaxy in your pocket to capture amazing images and video. These can be done just being hand-held as the quality of light produced is easily picked up by the phone’s lens and pixels.

It’s cold in Adelaide this time of year however that just adds to the atmosphere with fog sometimes appearing, so remember to dress for the outside conditions. There are plenty of options for dinner in the city as well as the entrance to the Light Cycles where last year there were burgers and pizza on offer.

Adelaide is sure to be out in force once again as they embrace this and many other events this winter.
